The American Heart Association’s past president, Dr. Ralph Sacco, said in a recent article, “New studies have shown that the risk factors that can lead to heart disease and stroke, such as high blood pressure, physical inactivity and obesity, also contribute to dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss and cognitive dysfunction.”

In Northern Wisconsin, Winter Finally Settles In

After a warm fall, winter has finally settled in -- at least in the northern half of Wisconsin, where one to three inches more inches of snow fell Tuesday in a region where snow stuck to the ground for good on Sunday and Monday, and road plows had to be used for the first time this season in a lot of places.
