Louis J. Enos

Louis J. Enos, 75, of Mindoro passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, Monday, June 15, 2015, at his home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1939, in Caledonia, Minn., to Louis and Dolores "Larry" (Koel) Enos.

Lou is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Wadel); his daughter, Melissa (Curt) Elliott of Franklin, Wis.; his granddaughter, Martina; his brother, Tom (Barb) Enos of Tomah; his sister, Karla (Steve) Zeman of West Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Mindoro High School in 1957, and served in the U.S. Army, stationed at West Point. Lou became a Milwaukee police officer in 1961, and retired in 1992, after attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing and "rummaging."

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, Hwys. C and A, Burr Oak, Wis. Pastor John Werner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors to be rendered by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, Burr Oak, or donor's local humane society. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory, Jostad Chapel, West Salem, is in charge of arrangements.
