Charles H. "Charlie" Straight

(1-24-12) Charles H. " Charlie" Straight, age 58, of Millston, WI. died Monday, January 23, 2012 in Black River Memorial Hospital.   

Charlie was born in Sparta, Wisconsin on January 10, 1954 to Harry C. and Mertie (Fish) Straight.  He graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1973, and then he attended Diesel Tech School in Sun Prairie , WI.  He was employed at Mosser Lee Co. from 1973-1984, he worked for the Town of Millston from 1993 until 2006, and he also worked at Habelman Brothers Cranberry Company.  Charlie served on the Millston Fire Dept. and the Millston First Responders.

Surviving are his half-brother, Gary (Millie) Climer, Black River Falls, his cousin Arlene (LaVerne) Hadley and family from LaCrosse, WI., a very, special friend Lorraine Smothers, of Black River Falls.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, Alfred "Jiggs" Straight, and a half sister, Dorothy Russell.
Funeral services for Charles H. "Charlie" Straight will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, January 28, 2012 from the Millston Union Church, Millston, WI.  Pastor Kenneth Jordan will conduct services and burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Millston.  Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
    Memorials may be given to either the First Responders of Warrens, or the First Responders of Black River Falls, or to the Warrens Fire Dept.
    Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.
