(5/2/12) Ellsworth K. Iverson, age 97, of Black River Falls, Wi. and formerly of Taylor, WI. died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Family Heritage Care Center in Black River Falls. Ellsworth was born in the Town of Springfield, Jackson County on September 17, 1914 to Ingwal and Alma (Olson) Iverson.
He was raised in the Taylor area, and he married Eunice Larson in Taylor on May 15, 1940.
The couple farmed and milked Holstein Cows in the Town of Springfield for 25-years. Ellsworth worked for the Jackson County Highway Department for 15 years. The couple moved to Black River Falls in 1976.
Ellsworth enjoyed having people come to their home. Farming was his hobby as well as his vocation. He also enjoyed boarding and caring for horses, mowing yard, going dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Eunice, of Parkside Residence in Black River Falls, his son James (Rebecca) Iverson, Mindoro, Wi.
his brother, Harold Iverson of Black River Falls, two grandchildren, David Iverson, Leadville, CO., and Rachel Iverson, Long Key, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Laverne Iverson.
Memorial Funeral Services for Ellsworth Iverson will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2012 from the Taylor Lutheran Church.
Pastor Benjamin Ahles-Iverson will conduct services and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Taylor. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Taylor Lutheran Church.
