(10/22/12) Louis E. Mitchell, age 72, of Humbird, WI. died Saturday, October 20 in Select Specialty Hospital, Madison, WI.He was born in Colfax, WI. on April 5, 1940 to Vernon and Emma (Stevens) Mitchell. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1958.
Following graduation, he served in the United States Army from May 1962-May 1965.
Louis was an over-the-road truck driver, and at one time, he owned his own truck.
He married Judy I. Franger in Black River Falls on Mar. 21, 1990. After their marriage, the couple lived in Chicago for four years, and then they moved to Humbird, WI.
Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and talking politics.
Surviving are his wife, Judy, 2-sons, Greg (Tina) Mitchell, Huntley, Il. and Jeff Mitchell, Chicago, Il., one daughter, Lisa (Al) Scott, Chicago, Il, 2-step daughters, Donna (Carmel) Smith, Humbird, WI. and Audrey (Alfredo) Trejo, Chicago, Il., 1-brother, Bernard Mitchell, Black River Falls, WI., 2-sisters, Dixie (Norman) Yaeger, Menomonie, WI., and Dawn (Robert) Zebro, Wheeler, WI., and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Russell Mitchell.
