Marvin Dock Waldsmith, Jr.

(11/28/12) Marvin Dock Waldsmith Jr., 54, of Black River Falls, and formerly of Afton, WI, died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.

Marvin was born May 25, 1958, in Beloit, WI, the son of Marvin and Judy Carol (Elliott) Waldsmith, Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Parker High School, Janesville, WI. Marvin was employed by Matthews Inc., Sparta, WI, as a supervisor. He was baptized and confirmed in the Afton Community Church. Marvin was a current member of the National Rifle Association and a life member of the North American Hunting Club. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Marvin and his family were the founding fathers of the local area Toys for Tots. He loved spending time with his son, especially their time in the woods hunting.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas Waldsmith of Osseo, WI; mother, Judy Waldsmith of Afton, WI; brother, James (Tonya) Waldsmith of Beloit, WI; sisters, Cindy Waldsmith of Beloit, WI, and Jodi Waldsmith of Kansas City, MO; niece and nephews, Allison (Joseph Ramirez) Waldsmith, Hunter and Joshua Waldsmith.
He was predeceased by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Chaplain Warren Weatherby officiating. Burial will be in the Town of Rock Cemetery, Afton, WI. Visitation will be from 10 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the FUNERAL HOME.
