Rita Ann Walters

(6/28/13) Rita Ann Walters, 73, of Arcadia died on June 26, 2013, at the Avera Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, S.D.

She was born on March 16, 1940, in Arcadia to Willard A. and Apollonia (Suchla) Thomas. Rita graduated from Arcadia High School and attended Beauty College. She married Raymond Walters on November 4, 1961, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Arcadia.

Rita was self employed with her husband Ray at R & R Electric, she also operated Valley Trophies. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the P.C.C.W., a member of Ducks Unlimited and was an avid bowler.

Rita is survived by her husband Ray of Arcadia, 1 son; Rodney "Buck" (Rhonda) Walters of Arcadia, 1 daughter; Renee (Mike) Brueggen of Arcadia, 3 grandchildren; Michaela Brueggen, Jordan, and Riley Walters, 2 brothers; Roland (Jane) Thomas of  Arcadia, Randy (Nancy) Thomas of Arcadia, 3 sisters; Mona (Gene) Wachs of Arcadia, Rose (Tony) Fernholz of Onalaska, Ruth (Jerry) Jereczek of Trempealeau, mother-in-law; Clara Walters of Arcadia, and 1 sister-in-law; Dianne Thomas of Arcadia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother; Richard Thomas, and father-in-law; Vilas Walters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Woodrow Pace officiating.  Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home where there will be a 7:00 PM prayer service and a 7:30 PM rosary.  They may also call on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.  

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Arcadia, WI.

Wozney-Killian Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
