(10/3/13) Marcella M. (Bue) Johnson, 71, of La Crosse, died Sunday, September 29, 2013, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, from complications following a sudden cardiac arrest.
She was born February 3, 1942, in Black River Falls, Wis., to Victor and Wanda (Stenulson) Bue. On February 20, 1960, Marcella was united in marriage to Larry Johnson in Black River Falls.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her three children, Paul Johnson of La Crosse, Christopher Johnson of Galesville, Wis., and Laura (Robert) Burgett of La Crosse; two grandchildren, Kayla Davenport-Burgett and her fiance, Joshua Miller, both of La Crosse, and Tyler Burgett of La Crosse; four sisters, Caroline (Gary) Olson and Wadena Sweno, both of Black River Falls, Joyce (John) Huseboe of Taylor, Wis., and Helen Bue of Wisconsin Dells; four brothers, La Verne (Lois) Bue of Corinth, Texas, William Bue and Phillip Bue, both of Black River Falls, and Marvin (Marianne) Bue of Janesville, Wis.; four sisters-in-law, Carol Bue of Black River Falls, Pam (Terry) Sommer of Twin Lakes, Wis., Starr Olson of Kenosha, Wis., and Dawn Smith of Cassville, Wis.; one brother-in-law, Bruce Johnson of Cape Cod, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raymond Bue; and two brothers-in-law, Carl Sweno and Robert Johnson.
In accordance with Marcella's wishes, her body will be cremated and a visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2013, at Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home, (Woodruff Chapel), 4239 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and concluding at 7:45 p.m. with a brief prayer service officiated by Pastor Charles Robinson.
