(10-9-13) Anna D. Joten, of Taylor, WI, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 in Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wi
She was born in Portland, Oregon on March 9, 1951 to Loren and Lucille (Yahnke) Dow. The family lived briefly in Oregon and then moved to Wisconsin. Ann was raised in Black River Falls and Northfield.
She attended Whitehall High School, and married Randy Joten in the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church on August 4, 1979. The couple lived their entire married lives in Taylor.
Ann worked as a CNA at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire and at the Grand View Care Center in Blair.
She later became a stay-at-home-mom, and did day care in her home.
Her family was her life. She enjoyed raising flowers, collecting angels, and watching NASCAR. She loved to go to Milwaukee and watch the Brewers at least once a year.
Surviving are her husband, Randy, 3-daughters, twins, Melissa (David) Roskos, Merrillan, WI and Michelle (Trevor) Tenneson, Taylor, WI, and Jessica Joten, Taylor, 2-sons, Timothy (Michelle) Rose, Taylor and Randy John Joten, Davenport, IA, 3-sisters, Beverly Smith, Illinois, Bonnie (Bob) Byrns, Mondovi, and Lorraine (Larry) Stokes, LaCrosse, 4-foster brothers, Milton (Glenda) Bergerson, Ronnie (Donna) Bergerson, Michael (Charlene) Bergerson, and Clark (Lonnie) Berberson, 2-foster sisters, Janet (David) Berg and Shirley (Robert) Kirby, 4-granddaughters, Arryanna, Alexis, Casey, and Maya, and her special pet dogs, Odie and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her foster parents, Olger and Bertha Bergerson, a grandson, Devin Rose, a sister, Loretta Peters, a foster sister, Louise Johnson, a sister-in-law, Diane Joten, and 3-nieces, Juanita, Faye, and Patricia.
Funeral services for Anna D. Joten will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013 from the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church, rural Taylor, Wi. Services will be conducted by Pastor Benjamin Ahles-Iverson and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Taylor. Relatives and friends may call from 5 until 7 P.M. at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton, and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of services at the church.
