Louise J. Lecheler

 (2/17/14)  Louise J. Lecheler, 91, of La Crosse and formerly of Arcadia died on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Bethany Riverside Nursing Home.

Louise was born on August 28, 1922, to Joseph and Lucia (Brahy) Hinderks in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1940.  Louise worked for many years at the office of Swift & Co. in South St. Paul.

     On May 13, 1961, she married Arnold G. Lecheler at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in St. Paul. They lived to Elmwood, WI, and then moved to Arcadia in 1965. Louise was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the P.C.C.W., and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her plants, cross word puzzles, feeding the birds, baking, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

     Louise is survived by her children: Ruth (James) Moore of Rancho Muieta, CA, Linda (Robert) Skroch of Arcadia, Brent (Doreen) Lecheler of Mechanicsburg, PA, Elizabeth (Sean) Spencer of Kathleen, GA, Thomas (Lori) Lecheler of La Crosse; grandchildren: Jon (Stephanie) Skroch, Jenna (fiancé, Cory Cobb) Skroch, Samuel, Nicholas, and Joseph Lecheler; great granddaughter, Lauren Skroch; special nieces: Mary Jo Pechacek, Sara Schmitz, and Peg Benesh. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers: Conrad and Joseph Jr.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 12:30 PM at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home where there will be a 7:00 PM prayer service followed by a rosary. Friends may also call on Thursday from 11:30 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in rural Arcadia. Memorials may be directed to "Family Wishes". The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Riverside for taking such good care of Mom.
