Leonard Wade Smith was called to his heavenly home on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the age of 91 surrounded by his family.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 2665 North Street (Hwy 20) East Troy, WI. Pastor Dale Baulmer will officiate. Military honors will be performed by the Soat-Vergenz VFW Post 721. (2/26/12) Kent Funmaker, 46, of Richfield, MN/formerly of Black River Falls, WI passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at the University of Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.

(2/26/12) Richard L. “Dick” Piette, 87, of Black River Falls died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital after suffering a heart attack following a motor vehicle accident. A Mass of Christian Burial is tentatively scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Black River Falls. Burial with military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Black River Falls, and from 9:30 a.m. to time of services Thursday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Wilmer Huber Jr., 85, of Sparta, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at
Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta.      A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Revered Mark Wessel
officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by American Legion
Post 40 and VFW Post 2112 will be in Cataract Cemetery, Cataract.
