The football season may have just begun, but it has ended for one western Wisconsin high school already.
Cadott has decided to cancel the rest of its varsity season due to small turnout to play for the team.
The team started out with 16 players, but was reduced to 14 after a couple concussions and a knee injury. Of the players that would be able to play this Friday, most of them are underclassmen.
The remaining players will finish the remainder of the junior varsity schedule.
The Cadott football team won the division 4 state title in 1999.
