Here are the stories:
The Packers try to extend their
winning streak to four games in a row today against an Arizona Cardinal team
which has lost four in a row. Green Bay has been hard-hit by injuries and will
have a bye week to recuperate, but not until after it faces the Big Red. It's
fading from the memory, but Arizona started the season with four straight wins.
Held to just seven rushing yards last week, the Cardinals dropped their fourth
in a row. The seven rushing yards total is the team's fewest in nearly 60
years. Arizona has had troubles scoring, but its defense remains one of the
best in the league.

Brandon Jennings nailed a three-point
shot at the buzzer to give the Milwaukee Bucks a 105-102 victory in their home
opener last night. The Bucks have started the season 2-0. Cleveland had just
tied the score with seven-tenths of a second left on the clock. Referees had to
use video replay to confirm that Jennings' put the winning shot up with
one-tenth of a second left. Jennings had 13 points and 13 assists, but Mike
Dunleavy was instant offense. He hit 10-of-12 shots from the floor, including
6-of-7 from outside the three-point line, grabbing a dozen rebounds in 35
minutes of play off the bench. Dunleavy finished with a game-high 29 points.

Colorado College blanked the
Wisconsin men's hockey team Saturday 3-0, taking a weekend sweep of the WCHA
series in Madison. The Badgers outshot the Tigers 33-22, but couldn't find the
net. Colorado College scored twice in the first period and was never threatened
the rest of the way. Wisconsin goalie Joel Rumpel made 19 saves and Mark
Zengerle's five-game point scoring streak was ended. The Badger record falls to
1-4-1, including 1-2-1 in conference play.
-11/4-
Nobody has scored on the Wisconsin
women's hockey team and its goalie Alex Rigsby in the last 189 minutes of play.
Rigsby was perfect again Saturday afternoon as the Badgers blanked Minnesota
State 5-0 at LaBahn Arena. Wisconsin's record improves to 7-3-2 with the weekend
sweep. Rigsby had 22 saves. Brianna Decker scored two of Wisconsin's goals.
Also finding the net for the Badgers were Alev Kelter, Katarina Zgraja and
Blayre Turnbull. Wisconsin outshot the Mavericks 40-22.
-11/4-
The only driver in the field with a
Wisconsin connection at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Saturday was Danica
Patrick, born in Beloit. She drove her GoDaddy-dot-com car to a 14th place
finish at the Texas Motor Speedway. Kevin Harvick had a dominant performance
while claiming his 39th Nationwide Series victory. By finishing fourth, Ricky
Stenhouse Junior moved into a tie at the top of the Nationwide points standings
with Elliott Sadler, with two races remaining.
-11/4-
Another five over par round knocks
Rhinelander native Dan Forsman to the bottom of the leaderboard at the Charles
Schwab Cup Championship. After three rounds, Forsman is 10 over part and 27
shots behind leader Tom Lehman. Both Lehman and Fred Couples fired eight under
par 62s on the Scottsdale course Saturday. Lehman is a shot ahead of Couples
coming into today's final round.
