The player who set the NCAA record for most points in a single basketball game back in November, made an appearnace in Wisconsin this weekend.
Former Black River Falls high school standout Jack Taylor scored 48 points Saturday afternoon in Waukesha, but his Grinnell College team lost to Carroll University 119-110 in a battle for first place in their conference.
Taylor had 22 points in just 8 minutes of play in the first half of the contest. The sophomore had scored 138 points in a game back in November, shattering the all-time record for most points scored in a single game. The 48 points matched his second highest total in a game during his career. He also put up 48 in a high school game against West Salem in his senior year. Taylor says things have gotten back to being closer to normal over the last several weeks after a whirlwind of media interviews immediately following setting the scoring record.
