Here are the stories:
The Milwaukee Brewers were shut-out in yesterday's 3-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Pitcher Matt Garza allowed all three runs in a tumultuous first inning... the second straight start he has allowed that to happen. While coaches were hopeful of Carlos Gomez making a return to the lineup, he was a late scratch. Gomez is still suffering from a back injury.
Matt Kenseth finished third in last night's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, behind Kevin Harvick and Jamie McMurray. In somewhat of a surprise win, McMurray led 31 laps to take the million-dollar payoff. McMurray says the strategy of first-year crew chief Keith Rodden is what put him in position to win.
Wisconsin-Whitewater is headed to the Division-3 World Series. The Warhawks (40-7) won the Midwest Regional, in a 5-4 win over Adrian yesterday afternoon. The Warhawks will face the winner of the New England Regional in the first-round of the World Series (Southern Maine or Endicott play this afternoon).
